The National Bank of Poland celebrates the small town of Kazimierz Dolny with this 2008 silver proof 20 zloty coin featuring various buildings of this historic town on the Vistula river.

The small town of Kazimierz Dolny – the gem of the Polish Renaissance – delights its guests with the beauty of its renaissance architecture. Its panorama is dominated by monuments located on the hills: the ruins of a tower erected in the 14th century by Wladyslaw Lokietek, the ruins of a stone castle from the times of Kazimierz Wielki, the parish church, and a monastery.
