The 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing Silver Proof Coin
The National Bank of Poland commemorates the Olympic Games in Beijing with this 2008 silver proof 10 zloty coin featuring a gold-plated sphere with a swimmer and the Polish Olympic Committee logo in the center.
Reverse: In the center, a swimmer in the water and a gold-plated sphere featuring the Polish Olympic Committee logo. Along the rim, "POLSKA REPREZENTACJA OLIMPIJSKA" (POLISH OLYMPIC REPRESENTATION).
Obverse: Along the rim, "RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA" for Republic of Poland. In the center, a stylized image of a dragon from the Nine Dragons Wall located in the Baihai Park in Beijing. On the right, the face value. At the bottom, the year of issue and an image of the eagle, the state emblem of the Republic of Poland. Under the Eagle’s left foot, the Mint mark.
Since the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris, Polish athletes have won a total of 269 medals, with athletics the most successful sport.
