The Year of the Tiger, a 2010 Postal Numismatic Cover from Australia containing two stamps from Australia Post’s and one exclusive Perth Mint commemorative dollar coin.

The card-mounted coin fits inside an illustrated envelope featuring $1.65 and 55c stamps from Australia Post’s popular Christmas Island Lunar New Year Series. Both stamps, which bear designs based on the Chinese character for ‘tiger’, are postmarked 12 January 2010. This Stamps and Coin Cover also features Australia Post’s seal of authenticity and an official number.

Struck from aluminium bronze in uncirculated quality, the coin depicts a tiger reclining under a tree in a reverse design that also incorporates the Chinese character for ‘tiger’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark. The obverse features an effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
