The 2010 Winter Olympics Silver Coins, two 2010 brilliant uncirculated 5-Euro coins from Austria.

To celebrate the 2010 Winter Games, the Austrian Mint in Vienna is issuing these two silver 5 Euro coins, each featuring a winter discipline in which Austria is a world-leading performer.

Both coins express the emotional side of sport with two dynamic scenes. The first one shows a female snow-boarder as she performs a hair-raising air trick, flipping her snowboard up over the rim of the half-pipe in which they perform. The second coin features ski jumping and shows the helmeted ski-jumper captured in his flight from the end of the steep ramp against a background of trees in an alpine forest.

The obverse of each of these nine-sided coins shows the shields of the nine Austrian federal provinces and the mentions "REPUBLIK OSTERRIEICH" and "5 Euro".
