The 2010 Koala Gold Proof Coin is the third coin in a series of iconic Australian Koala coins. The Australian Koala is a prime example of The Perth Mint’s meticulous gold proof minting skills. This coin is struck from 1/25oz of 99.99% pure gold in proof quality, and features a young koala on a tree branch eating gum leaves. The design also incorporates The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark. Each coin is housed in a luxury presentation case with a jarrah timber lid.

The koala is an herbivore marsupial native to Australia. It lives almost entirely on eucalyptus leaves and sleeps about 20 hours a day.
