The Perth Mint celebrates Australian Indigenous art, the oldest ongoing tradition of art in the world, with this 2010 silver coin featuring a dolphin and splashes of water.

The reverse of each Dolphin Dreaming rectangle-shaped coin depicts a dolphin by Darryl Bellotti, a Western Australian Indigenous designer of both Yamatji and Nyoongar descent. The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark is incorporated within Darryl’s distinctive animal artistry. The obverse of each coin shows the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the year of issue, the face value, and the silver content and purity.
