La Poste presents this 2009 souvenir sheet to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the death of Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841 - 1919), a French artist who was a leading painter in the development of the Impressionist style.

This souvenir sheet contains 2 stamps: the 0.85 Euro stamp shows 'Monsieur et Madame BERNHEIM de VILLIERS' (1910), and the 1,35 Euro stamp shows 'Gabrielle à la rose' (1911), two paintings that can now be found at the Musée d'Orsay in Paris.
