The Turtle Dreaming Coin, a 2008 rectangular pure silver dollar coin from Australia.

The Perth Mint celebrates Australian Indigenous art, the oldest ongoing tradition of art in the world, with this 2008 silver coin featuring a turtle on a shimmering background.

The Australian Indigenous art portayed on the coin's reverse represents the knowledge of the buyungura hunter. Created by Darryl Bellotti, an Indigenous artist of both Yamatji and Nyoongar descent, its dots represent the hunter's footprints along the path; the ringed-circles symbolize the location where he stops to hunt. The coin's obverse bears an effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the year of issue, the face value, and the silver content and purity.
