The National Bank of Poland commemorates the 150th Anniversary of the birth of Joseph Conrad with this 2007 silver proof 10 Zloty coin with a beautiful holographic ship.

Jósef Teodor Konrad Korzeniowski (1857-1924) was a Polish-born English novelist and short-story writer. Among Conrad's best-known works are LORD JIM (1900), HEART OF DARKNESS (1902), and NOSTROMO (1904). The reverse shows the Otago, the ship Conrad commanded as a master mariner, and its reflection in the water highlighted by a beautiful hologram.
