Franco-Japanese Treaty – The Ichikawa Ebizo IV, a 1.5 euro silver proof coin from France.

The French Mint celebrates the 150th Anniversary of the Franco-Japanese Treaty with this 2008 1.5 euro silver proof coin featuring a portrait of Ichikawa Ebizo IV, a stage name taken on by a series of Kabuki actors of the Ichikawa family.

The Franco-Japanese "Treaty of peace, friendship and commerce" was signed in October 1858. It constitutes the first step in Franco-Japanese relations, which are today both rich and warm. The coin's reverse shows the official logo of the 150th Anniversary of this treaty.

Includes Capsule, Official Case and Individually-Numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
