The Malbork Castle
This silver coin presents the castle of Malbork, the biggest brick fortress in Europe commonly considered one of the most excellent examples of gothic architecture, regarded for both its artistic value and pioneer building execution.

Obverse: On top, along the rim, “Republic of Poland “. An image of the eagle, the state emblem of the Republic of Poland, with the Malbork castle in the background. To the left of the eagle, the year of issue. Under the Eagle’s left foot, the Mint mark. On the right side, the face value.
Once the headquarter of the Teutonic Order, the castle is on the list of the UNESCO World Cultural and National Heritage, and contains the biggest and most precious collection of goods in amber in the world.
