Usyaslau of Polatsk
First in the Strengthening and Defending the State series, this silver proof coin is dedicated to Usyaslau of Polatsk (1044 – 1101).
Reverse: Along the rim, on the left, "Usyaslau of Polatsk" and the years of his reign, "1044 – 1101". In the center, the effigy of Usyaslau of Polatsk, with the image of the solar disk and the wolf, a symbol of his supernatural abilities.
Obverse: At the top, the relief of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus and the inscription "Republic of Belarus". In the center, a reconstruction of the Cathedral of St. Sophia, built during the reign of Usyaslau of Polatsk. At the bottom, the metal composition, the face value, and the year of issue.
The edge of the coin bears the following inscription: “Strengthening and Defending the State”.
