National Parks and Reserves - The 2007 Bulgarian Mountains
As part of the National Parks and Reserves Series, this 2007 silver proof 10 levs coin is an expression of the consideration of the Bulgarian National Bank for the efforts of the whole society to preserve the nature of Bulgaria.
Reverse: Along the rim on top: "THE BULGARIAN MOUNTAINS" and "PIRIN". In the center, a peak of mount Vihren. On the left, an edelweiss, a Bosnian pine tree (Pinus heldreichii), and a wild goat.
Obverse: Along the rim on top: "BULGARIAN NATIONAL BANK". In the center, the Bulgarian National Bank logo with the year 1879 on the strip. Along the rim at the bottom, the year of issue and the face value.
The three symbols on the reverse are characteristic of the flora and fauna of Pirin National Park: the edelweiss, the Bosnian pine tree and the wild goat. In the background: a peak of mount Vihren.
