The Year of the Veteran, a 2005 uncirculated commemorative 25 cent coin from Canada.

To help mark this important year, the Royal Canadian Mint is pleased to strike the Year of the Veteran commemorative 25-cent circulation coin. Throughout the year, Canadians have been celebrating, honoring, remembering and teaching today’s youth about the contributions and sacrifice of our veterans. This coin was developed under the RCM’s multi-year program aimed at celebrating and commemorating Canada’s culture, people and history.

This coin depicts the profiles of two veterans from different generations, joined by their love of the country.
